Outline Itinerary
1Day 1
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu Overnight in Hotel. (1300 M)
2Day 2
Day 02: After breakfast City tour of Kathmandu. Overnight in Hotel. (B.L.D at Hotel)
3Day 3
Day 03: After Breakfast, Drive to Timure or Ghatte Khola (1450 m). 150km, a small town near Rasuwa Gadhi, the Border of Nepal and China. O/n at the hotel, Rasuwa Gadhi
4Day 4
Day 04:Drive to China border (Friendship Bridge). After completion of customs formalities, Drive (45km.) to Kyirung (4130m). O/N at the Hotel.
5Day 5
Day 05:Whole day Leisure time at Kyirong, a border city in Tibet, China for acclimatization. O/N at the Hotel, Kyirung.
6Day 6
Day 06: Drive Kyirung to Saga or Dong-Pa. O/N at the Hotel.
7Day 7
Day 07:Early breakfast leave Saga or Dong-Pa at 7:00 AM for Mansarovar 270kms, 6 -7 hrs. Overnight Guest house at Manasarovar. (4558 M)
8Day 8
Day 08:Mansarovar - Haven Puja. In the morning and after lunch drive to Dharchen (Base camp of Kailash) overnight at Dharchen (4600M)
9Day 9
Day 09:Early Morning 6:00 AM drive to Sheralung Gompa , walk towards Ashta path.(5 km. from Sheralug Gumpa) we will visit Sapata Rishi cave as well & Nandi Parikrama. (4900 M). Back to Tarchen. Overnight Hotel
10Day 10
Day 10:Early Morning bus will drive to the valley of god and starts Kailash Parikrama. Reach Diraphuk (5000 M) overnight Guesthouse.
11Day 11
Day 11: Kailash Parikrama starts your walk at 4:00 AM through Khande Salung. Meet group & camp 7-8 Kms after Dolma La. (Zuthulphuk)Overnight Camp or Guest house.
12Day 12
Day 12: End of Kailash Parikrama, jeeps pick up & drive to Darchen O/N stay at hotel in Darchen
13Day 13
Day 13: Again early Morning bus will drive to Yama dwar and trek starts Kailash Parikrama. Reach Diraphuk (5000 M) overnight Guesthouse.
14Day 14
Day 14: Trek: Dirapuk to Zuthulphuk (4,760m) (18km trek/9-10 hours trek) through Dolma-la pass (5,600m).You can enjoy the view of stunning Gauri Kund just beneath the Domala-la Pass. Overnight in guesthouse
15Day 15
Day 15: Walk across the third and last prostration point, Zuthulphuk monastery and trek back to near Darchen and drive back to Saga
16Day 16
Day 16: Drive to Kyirung/ Overnight Guesthouse.
17Day 17
Day 17: Kyirung to Kathmandu. Overnight in Hotel.
18Day 18
Day 18: Tour Ends.
Description
The average elevation here is in a range of 3840 meters – 5180 meters which endows cool and even cold weather to the area. In the high plateau, the climate is not very pleasant due to the frequent wind and dry atmosphere.
